Fright Night - Short StoryI used to not believe in ghosts, but I definitely do now. I may never forget what happened that night. I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s start from the beginning. My friends wanted to go to a haunted house on Halloween night and invited me of all people, the "scaredy-cat" of my group. "It’s probably one of those sleazy wannabes like at our neighbor’s house," I thought to myself. "There’s nothing scary about those, right?" I agreed to go with them. Once Halloween rolled around, they picked me up, and we drove out of town.I simply thought we would just be going to some other neighborhood until we started taking a road that I had never seen before. We suddenly started driving into a forest, barely lit by the moon. I started to worry. "We’re still going to a haunted house, right, Toby?" I asked my boyfriend, who was sitting next to me."Yeah. Never been to a real haunted house before. Do you think we’ll see some demons?""D-Demons?""You haven
Colors - PoemColors~~~~~As I walk up the steps, slowly as can be,I catch up to a few others, but what do I see? They are all rather melancholy in response to today,For all that I see of them is gray.I step through the doors, "Good morning," I say,But all I get is "Mmm-hmm" from the others in gray.Has this entire world gone mad?!I see no one acting cheerful or sad!The same exact activities, the old repeating day,They are all that I see of this world: gray! But what is this I see in the corner of my sight?Something different, perhaps even bright?Yes! I see color for once, something new!People with flashes of red, green, and blue! These people mix things up from the average humdrum,While others choose to remain in life's slum.Seeing these folks, from outrageous to mellow,Makes me feel all fuzzy and glow a bright yellow."Let's seize the day!" I exclaim, doing my part.We commit to carpe diem, but when will YOU start?
